What is MemoryDriver?

MemoryDriver is a mobile app that uses navigation-style exercises (think gentle navigation & spatial-memory challenges) to give your hippocampus short, targeted workouts.
Research shows the hippocampus — the area of the brain intimately involved in spatial navigation and memory — is affected early in age-related memory change. Detailed neuroimaging studies of hippocampal structure and shape link these changes to memory decline, which is why targeted navigation exercises (the same kind of mental navigation that strengthens taxi drivers’ spatial memory) are a promising, science-informed way to keep memory networks active.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. MemoryDriver’s exercises are inspired by navigation and hippocampus research showing spatial-navigation tasks can strengthen memory-related brain systems. For background, see published hippocampus research and imaging studies.

Short answer: a few minutes, 3–5 times per week. Most users start with 2–6 minute sessions that fit easily into the day.

No. MemoryDriver runs completely on your device — your progress and results stay on your phone unless you explicitly export or share them. There’s no cloud admin portal for public users.

No. MemoryDriver is a training tool designed to help strengthen memory-related skills. It is not a diagnostic device. If you have concerns about memory loss, consult a qualified clinician.
